Wake Forest ARTS

Wake Forest ARTS supports local artists and existing art programs throughout our community and encourages new arts ventures. It is a section 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which was founded as the Wake Forest Cultural Arts Association 1990, and is currently an all-volunteer organization. We are funded through grants from the Town of Wake Forest and United Arts of Raleigh and Wake County, and through the contributions of our sponsors and artist members. We organize the annual Six Sundays in Spring outdoor concert series, and have assisted with the Wake Forest Autumn Arts Festival, DuBois Jazz Festival, the Christmas Tour, Studio Tour and the Garden Tour. The vocal ensemble WF Singers is also under the umbrella of Wake Forest ARTS.

Our Mission

Wake Forest ARTS supports and enhances a strong, vibrant community through the development, promotion and coordination of arts and cultural activities.

Our meetings are open to the public. Unless otherwise announced, they are held every second Thursday of the month from 8:15 to 9:30 am at the Wake Forest Birthplace Museum at 414 North Main Street, Wake Forest, NC.

Calendar posting policy

For the Wake Forest ARTS calendar we will accept arts-related postings, at our discretion, from local organizations or businesses. “Local” means north of the Neuse river and within a 20 mile radius of Wake Forest (this includes Rolesville, Creedmoor, Franklinton, Louisburg, Zebulon…) Events that are outside this area but have a Wake Forest connection (e.g. a performance or show by a Wake Forest resident) may also be included. In general, the postings may be for free- or paid-admission events hosted by non-profit organizations, or for free events hosted by for-profit organizations.
